Welcome to my photos from 2006. Each album is a slideshow for you to flick through at your own pace. Have a gander at them, there is no rush. Some are a few MBs and so may take a while to download depending on your internet connection speed. I hope it's worth it though!

This year has been an eventful year so far, with trips to Ireland, Norway and the Isle of Skye. As a bonus there are also plenty of photos from Durham and Sheffield.

DUMC Glen Coe

Glen Coe, Scotland (2006-01-28)

DUMC (Durham University Mountaineering Club) started to do some winter weekends, for the members to have a dabble in the snow and possibly a spot of ice climbing. On this trip we went to Glen Coe and did the Anoach Eagach and the day after made up another superb route over another ridge and popped out of the clouds, it was fantastic.

DUMC Aviemore

Cairngorms, Scotland (2006-02-11)

This was the second winter trip with DUMC and this time it was to the Cairngorms. This trip I broke my ice climbing virginity on a 5 pitch gully, the thing to add to that is that even though it was my first ice climbing, I also led it ALL - every pitch!! It was amazing.

Beki, Vicki and Kirsten

Durham, England (2006-02-18)

My sister came to visit me in Durham one weekend and also Vicki and Kirsten came down for the day too. It was a really good day and I am glad they all came to visit me.

Norway Expedition

Hardangervidda, Norway (2006-03-19)

This Easter I was lucky enough to spend almost 2 weeks in Norway cross country skiing through the Hardangervidda National Park. We covered over 100km and slept in DNT Huts and one snow hole. Very cool. We even managed to hitch in a snow plough! Get in!

DUMC Isle of Skye

Isle of Skye, Scotland (2006-06-04)

The end of year DUMC (Durham University Mountaineering Club) trip was to the Isle of Skye this year, and it was a really good trip. Of particular highlight was the bizarre zip line thingy that we rigged up over the sea, definatly worth a look!!

Durham, England (2006-06-14)

As with before, whenever I am bored I go for a walk with my camera, and these are the results. This particular session is heavy on the flowers, they are not all pink, honest!!

Summer Hols

nr Wexford, Ireland (2006-07-15)

For a week this summer the family went to southern Ireland for a holiday and stayed in a nice cottage a stone's throw from the beach. It was a nice relaxing time!!

I've lived in Sheffield for the majority of my life and yet I've never gone around the centre and taken photos of things, so, I decided to rectify the situation by taking my camera and going for a wander.
