Photos from 2003
Welcome to my photos from 2003. Each album is a slideshow for you to flick through at your own pace. Have a gander at them, there is no rush. Some are a few MBs and so may take a while to download depending on your internet connection speed. I hope it's worth it though!
This year was whilst I was at Sixth Form and consequently there are not many albums here, however there are a few climbing trips and a few French trips as well for you to see.
French Exchange
Normandy, France (2003-04-03)
A great trip to St-Valery-en-Caux in Normandy for 2 weeks. Involving a weeks worth of Work Experience at the local Place d'Information Jeunesse, which was hard, yet very enjoyable.
DofE Gold Practice
Peak District, England (2003-06-12)
During our first year of King Edwards we participated in the Duke of Edinburgh scheme. These photos were taken from our 3 day practive walk in the Dark Peak in the Peak District. Highlights were Seymour's yellow furry tongue, trust me, you just wouldn't want to go there!!
GnT on the Rocks
llanberis, Wales (2003-06-28)
The climbing club at school was able to wangle some extra money from the GnT budget, and so we were able to go to Wales for a week for some serious climbing. It wasn't the fact it was Wales, it was the fact that we had enough money to hire enough instructors to enable us to lead ourselves outside on routes, which was brilliant. It gives you SO much practice that it was really worth it.
GnT on the Rocks
llanberis, Wales (2003-07-05)
This was the second of these such weekends which I went on, to the same place in Wales, it was really good too.
DofE Gold Expedition
Kinlochleven, Scotland (2003-07-12)
My turn to go to Scotland and Kinlochleven with KES for my Gold DofE Expedition, was a great trip. Perhaps a bit too hot as that summer was a heat-wave, not good when doing 90km in 4 days and all the gear!!
Paris Trip
Paris, France (2003-10-07)
In our final year of A-Level French we went to Paris for a week, which, helped amazingly with our exams. Was very cool as well as all my friends went too. A great laugh.
