Panoramas from Laos in 2005

Welcome to my panoramas from Laos in 2005. Each pano is interactive and all are zoom-able, regardless of whether it is Flash or Java. However, it's the Java ones which rotate. Have a gander at them, there is no rush. Some are about 1MB and so may take a while to download depending on your connection speed. I hope it's worth it though!

There are a few panoramas from the capital, Vientiane, and then one of a lagoon and another of the Mekong River.

View from the Hotel, Vientiane

View from the HotelLooking out over the Mekong from the roof of out hotel in Vientiane. The opposite bank of the river is Thailand. This panorama requires the Java plugin.

View from the Hotel, Vientiane

View from the HotelLooking out over Vientiane, inland. One can easily see the nearest wat (temple) with its gold guild. Also the corrigated iron roofs are shown together with rediculously large satellite dishes. This panorama requires the Java plugin.

Sunset, Vientiane

SunsetLooking out over the capital, Vientiane, from one of the field points. I'm amazed at the colours shown, and also, at the time, how quickly it went dark. This panorama requires the Java plugin.
