Panoramas from England in 2005
Welcome to my panoramas from England in 2005. Each pano is interactive and all are zoom-able, regardless of whether it is Flash or Java. However, it's the Java ones which rotate. Have a gander at them, there is no rush. Some are about 1MB and so may take a while to download depending on your connection speed. I hope it's worth it though!
These include some panoramas of Durham, The Peak District and some climbing trips. There is also a 360° panorama of the Peace Gardens in the centre of Sheffield.
My Backgarden, Sheffield
My back garden in the first snow of Christmas taken on the DSLR, I was just playing really. Although I am impressed by the vertical height of the panorama, quite good I think. This panorama requires the Java plugin.
Damflask and Stores, Peak District
Looking out towards Stores [the village on the hill] and Damflask [the reservoir in the distance] during some snow last winter. I particularly like the colours in the sky, atmospheric. This panorama requires the Java plugin.
Bridestones, North York Moors
I went to Bridestones with DUMC for a bit of bouldering one weekend during term-time. Its pretty isolated, but not bad rock, and good views. This panorama requires the Java plugin.
Ambleside, The Lake District
This panorama was taken on an outing with DUHWS to Ambleside in the Lake District last winter. There were great colours that day due to the fact that there was only a small amount of snow around the place, and the weather was typically 'changeable'. This panorama requires the Java plugin.
Chatsworth House, The White Peaks
Chatsworth House in the white peaks, pretty cool... There are many paths through the White Peaks which also cross through the grounds of Chatsworth, it makes a change in the country side. This panorama requires the Java plugin.
Inglebrough, Yorkshire Dales
Taken coming down the east side of Ingleborough whilst doing the Three Peaks round walk. That year I knocked 3.5 hours off my previous time, not bad I didn't think. This panorama requires the Java plugin.
Peace Gardens, Sheffield
A 360 degree panorama of the Peace Gardens in the centre of Sheffield. I think the fountains have managed to stitch together quite well, don't you? The builing works behind me have now finised and look really quite good, more fountains!! This panorama requires the Java plugin.
The Peaks, Peak District
Taken near Stanage looking out over the Edale and Hope valleys. The heather adds the customary colour to the scene. This panorama requires the Java plugin.
Derwent Reservoir, Peak District
Taken on the banks of the Derwent Reservoir looking kind of north west (ish). I love the perfectly still nature of the water's surface, showing the faultless reflection of itself. This panorama requires the Java plugin.
Derwent Edge, Peak District
On Howden Moors, above Derwent Reservoir, you can see Win Hill, Kinder Scout and Bleaklow, but only if you're good :p This panorama requires the Java plugin.
